SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it has been almost a year now and the house FINALLY has sold!! What a relief!! So now we have to start focusing on getting ready, we will be moving out July 7th and heading to alberta for a few weeks, then in the middle to the end of August is when we will be flying out to El Catay airport in Samana. Just a 30 min gua gua ride into town and our new life. We also got a hold of the couple that want us to look after their house and 2 dogs, so we will have a pretty sweet place to live until January, but it will be much easier to find a good place while we are there. Also Mark, the guy that we are watching his house, says he wants me to use his dirtbike while we are there so it doesnt just sit and rust, which is pretty cool too, that way I don;t have to buy one right away when we get there. But yeah that is all for now, I will keep posting as much as I cn so check back often and we can't wait to bring you all with us!

A Place to Live!!!!

Ok so I just got a phone call from our friends in Las Terrenas. They are originally from Canada and they need to come back here for about 6 months. However they want to hold on to their place so they phoned us and asked if we wanted to look after it when we come down! It is an awesome place and a HUGE yard for the dogs. In fact we are going to be watching their dogs as well, so there will be our german shepard chopper, our DR street dog pica, their rotwieler cheespa, and their neapolean mastiff hippo. It is going to be quite the busy house! Not looking forward to scooping all that poop though! But hey it wil be a place we can set up and then while we are there we can focus on looking for a place of our own when they get back.
So yeah anyway, it has been pretty stressfull around here. The lady that put the offer on our house was having trouble with her financing so we where getting pretty worried. But we just got word yesterday that it went through so now the home inspection should be any day now and hopfully this will all be over and done soon. Unfortunatly I am off to edmonton for work for awhile, but soon enough we will be outta here. So take care for now and here is a picture of hippo when he was just a puppy! Enjoy!

6 More Days!

So the subjects come off of our house on the 8th and it can't come fast enough. I'm so stoked that we have accepted an offer and all that but it won't feel like it has happened untill I see that SOLD sticker on our front lawn. After that it is all good, then just TONS of stuff to do in preperation for August. Moving all our crap to Alberta, selling a bunch of stuff, trying to survive with no work till we get paid from our house. All sorts of good stuff. But seeing how today is a long weekend I started painting and right now I am in the middle of waiting for paint to dry, so I just thought I would come on here and type a few words, so I hope whoever is reading this out there has a good long weekend and I'll talk to you guys later!!

3 Months Left in Canada!!

Ok so FINALLY after 9 long months the house has an offer and we accepted!!! AS long as the home inspector doesn't have any issue's we sold the house! The possesion Date will be July the 7th so we will be spending most of the summer here in BC, but that just means we will have more time to be prepared. 8 Showings in 3 weeks!

Ok so we have been going crazy with all the showings and people saying they are really interested and then thats it. It has been a real experience these last 8 months trying to sell this place. The last couple that came into look for the second time decided that it was too small of a place for them. But in 2 hours from now there is yet another second showing and apparently it is between ours and another, Yeah I have heard that before. Oh well all you can do is hope for the best! This blog will be alot more exciting once the house does go, I can't wait! Talk to you guys soon!!

Second showing!

Hey guys so I'm HOPING this might be the one. They have been into town looking at houses and said ours is on the top of their list. Today they are coming back for a second time along with another couple looking at the house too, bidding war anyone?? But yeah I hope it works out soon so i have something exciting to write about. If not well I will sart giving you guys some background stories. haha boooooring....... But yeah I have been screwing around with some painting ideas that I don't normally do. I am thinking of selling paintings to tourists on the beach while we are down there and here is the first "beachy" painting I have done. SHOWINGS GALLORE!!!

Ok so In the past 3 weeks we have had about oh 5 showings. The last showing went really well and might be hearing from them again real soon. They are coming back into town to look at a few other houses, but there isn't much selection here and they really liked our place, so I guess we will just have to wait and see. Also I just got a call from our agent and we have another showing this Saturday! Things are definetly picking up now that it is spring. So yeah just wanted to thank you guys for following us and hopefully we will have some good news soon! Keep checking back. And I am posting new videos on youtube today and this weekend so have a look!
